My heartfelt thanks to Synkroniciti art magazine for choosing my artwork "The donkey-child and the elephant" for the Synkroniciti’s Audacity Cover Contest, I am so honored and proud of it!

Here below a short statement about the artwork and links with articles about the art contest.

In this artwork, I tried to represent the imaginary world I had in my mind as a child, where I often enjoyed immersing myself in my imagination, as opposed to the boring and monotonous reality of my daily life.

About the symbolism of donkeys, some time ago I saw a news report about them that dispelled the prejudice of seeing them only as stupid and slow animals. In reality, they are very sweet and intelligent beings, which I have had the opportunity to see firsthand.

I liked associating this figure with myself as a child: I too experienced some of the same stereotypes about myself, despite having a great imagination and a desire to create beautiful things, which perhaps were never fully understood.

In any case, the world of games, cartoons, art, colors, and beauty in all its forms is what still excites me, even as an adult, where I have to deal with life's difficulties.
