My true face
Graphite on paper
36x27cm
2023
The work features a surreal composition in graphite on paper. In the upper part, a hybrid figure emerges, with a female torso and a grotesque head adorned with spikes and a long proboscis, set against a dark, grainy background. Below, on a horizontal surface, lie two distinct faces: a stylized mask and a female head with more realistic features, her dark hair blending into the shadows. The skillful use of graphite creates intense contrasts and detailed textures, lending depth and an enigmatic atmosphere to the entire scene.

Pastels and coloured pencils on paper
36x27cm
2022
This work features an intense composition, in which a large insect in shades of dark and gold emerges with a brilliant yellow-green aura. Beneath it, the face of a female figure lies horizontally, characterized by a fixed expression and cracks that furrow her pale skin, like a fragmented doll. Dark hair frames her face, while the mixed media technique of pastels and colored pencils gives the drawing a vibrant texture and a dramatic contrast between light and shadow.

Deadly factory I
Digital painting
2020
The work features an abstract composition dominated by vertical brushstrokes that create an intense visual rhythm. Shades of red, yellow, and white alternate with black and gray sections, suggesting the shape of the exploded Milazzo refinery. In the center, a shape reminiscent of a skull emerges from among the stripes, while a horizontal grid of thin lines adds depth and tension. The lower portion mirrors the upper forms, creating the effect of a watery or reflective surface, with colors blending in a play of light and shadow.

The scream of the Strait
Acrylics on canvas
70x50cm
2018
The work captures a scene of intense drama. A fiery sky, dominated by vibrant reds and oranges, looms over the Strait of Messina. Dense, dynamic brushstrokes create surging waves and swirls of color, with accents of green, yellow, and white suggesting the waves of a completely polluted sea. In the background, the two Strait Pylons stand out against the blazing horizon. In the foreground, a stylized figure with a yellow face and red eyes appears to be screaming, hands raised to the face, immersed in a tangle of organic and abstract forms. The composition is full of movement and color.

Crucifixion of the Art II
Digital painting
2026
The work features three imposing rulers arranged in the shape of a cross, dominated by a deep blue monochrome. Each “crucified” artistic tool—the pencil, the brush, and the marker—is wrapped in tight bands and bears visible cracks, which accentuate their fragility. In the background, the stylized city of Messina stands out against the horizon, while in the foreground, a small backpack lies at the base of the composition. The skillful use of shades of blue creates depth and an evocative atmosphere.

Blue September
Digital painting
2026
This digital artwork features a monochromatic composition dominated by intense shades of blue. At the center, a graduated ruler—which also serves as a weapon—is surrounded by various sharp geometric tools: set squares, compasses, and rulers with pointed spikes. These elements float around the central structure—the paintbrush tied to or crucified on the ruler/cross—a symbol of creativity and imagination that have been sacrificed and thus remain untapped and undervalued due to excessive rigidity of thought and an educational system that favors the sciences over the arts.
The work is my personal reflection on the years I spent in school, particularly in elementary and middle school, where—due to the bullying I endured and the lax attitude of many teachers—my passion and talent were often unable to emerge, causing me suffering and a sense of worthlessness.
In the foreground, a series of small crosses formed by rulers stretches out, creating an evocative landscape.
I chose the color blue to fully express the sense of sadness and depression that these experiences evoked in me.
The digital texture accentuates the precision of the forms, while a grid-lined sheet bears the artist’s signature, affirming the work’s authenticity.

Crucifixion I
Digital painting
2025
The work depicts a stylized figure with fluid, vibrant contours, in a pose that evokes a crucifixion on a three-pronged cross that ideally forms a triangle—a symbol of various elements, including the stylized shape of the womb, which symbolizes both feminine strength and the Trinacria. The composition is heavily inspired by the work “Evangelists on Calvary” by Ivan Vecenaj, a Croatian artist from the Hlebine School.
The body, outlined by luminous streaks of neon pink, acid green, and electric blue, stands out against a deep black background. The composition is enriched by organic and abstract forms surrounding the figure, while an enigmatic sun-eye dominates the horizon. The bold use of color and dynamic lines creates a powerful and visually intense image.

Crucifixion III
Digital painting
2026
This digital artwork depicts the artist herself crucified, enveloped by organic, thorny structures. The vibrant colors—ranging from fuchsia to acid green—stand out against a starry night sky that fades into a deep red. The dynamic composition is dominated by pointed, tentacle-like forms that surround the central figure, accentuating a surreal and visceral atmosphere. The meticulous details of the thorns and fluid textures create a powerful and distinctive visual impact.
