Crucifixion III
This artwork depicts the artist herself crucified, wrapped in organic, thorny structures. Vibrant colors, from fuchsia to acid green, emerging against a starry night sky fading to a deep red. The dynamic composition is dominated by spiky, tentacled shapes surrounding the central figure, accentuating a surreal, visceral atmosphere. The minute details of the thorns and fluid textures create a powerful and distinctive visual impact.
The painting is strongly inspired by the artwork "Evangelists on Calvary" (1966) made by Croatian naïve artist Ivan Vecenaj of the Hlebine School.

Motherhood
This digital artwork captures the intense bond between a mother and her baby elephant, immersed in a dramatic atmosphere. The figures, outlined in vibrant shades of red and magenta against a dark background, emerge forcefully. Stylized details, such as a series of sharpened pencil points adorning the mother's trunk and the calf's head, add a distinctive, almost sculptural touch. The expressions in the eyes, though stylized, suggest a deep emotional connection.

Crucifixion II (BW version)
Black and white version
2026
The artwork represents a crucified female figure whom her slender, curved body hanging from a wooden cross. Her arms are outstretched, her hands nailed, while her head bows and her dark hair spills downward. The monochrome background enhances the earthy tones of the figure and of her gallows. Abstract, flowing lines unfold on the left side, adding a dynamic element to the composition. The use of digital technology allows for a crisp and detailed graphic rendering, with sharp contrasts that accentuate the drama of the scene.
In the background, the Stromboli volcano, a reference to the inner suffering that, fermenting over time finally erupts, giving vent to all the accumulated sufferings.

Crucifixion I
The work depicts me crucified on a three-pointed cross that ideally forms a triangle, symbolizing the stylized shape of a mother's womb, a symbol of feminine strength, and the Trinacria, a symbol of Sicily, my homeland. The composition is strongly inspired by the artwork "Evangelists on Calvary," created by Croatian artist Ivan Vecenaj of the Hlebine School. In the background, an eye-shaped sun at sunset.

The elephant warrior (digital version I)
Krita
2025
For me, the elephant symbolizes the strength of Life through the power of Art. This concept draws inspiration from the visionary elephants of outsider artist Giovanni Cammarata. This figure represents a visionary warrior, armed with paintbrush and palette: even images can speak, wound, and change us.

Fantastic elephants II
Digital version of my drawing "Fantastic elephants I" made in 2024
Two fantastical elephants dominate the scene, immersed in a vibrant red monochrome. The creatures, with sinuous, anthropomorphic forms, have limbs reminiscent of human hands and feet, giving them an unusual and dynamic appearance. Stylized eyes dot their faces and bodies, while their tails dissolve into graphic lines. The work, a digital painting, explores a dreamlike imagery through the skillful use of nuances and color contrasts, lending depth and mystery to the composition.

The Art goes to war
Digital painting
2021
This digital painting depicts a majestic march of stylized elephants, adorned with yellow and brown stripes and armor-like details, inspired by Giovanni Cammarata's visionary elephants marching toward an imaginary battle against those who would destroy the Knight's works.
Each pachyderm carries a fortified structure, from which figures armed with bows and arrows, or spears with paintbrushes, prepare for battle. The elephants display lively eyes and tails ending in paintbrushes, while their platforms display heart-shaped color palettes. In the background, a soft sky blends with a dynamic atmosphere, and a golden statue with paintbrush and crown stands on a pedestal, symbolizing the defense of art.

Destruction of the Art
Digital painting
2021
This digital artwork depicts two stylized elephants, adorned with pencil marks on their backs and tusks. The creatures, a mother and her puppy, flee across a field of stylized grass, while a dark, reddish sky looms. An orange and black eclipse dominates the upper right corner, from which streaks of light rain down. The elephants' bodies exhibit cracks and cavities, suggesting a state of decay or destruction, accentuated by their desperate expressions.
The dynamic composition and contrasting colors create an intense and visually powerful atmosphere.

Futurist Scylla drawing (b/w)
2021
The drawing is a Futurist-style reworking of the figure of Scylla, a detail from the sculptural group by Renaissance sculptor Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli (a collaborator of Michelangelo Buonarroti) based on the Fountain of Neptune in Messina. The composition, rich in curves and sharp angles, evokes a mechanical or armored entity in whirling motion. The shapes intersect and expand, creating a sense of kinetic energy and power. The use of digital technology gives the image a sharpness and brilliance that accentuates its visual impact.

The apparition of the Goddess
Digital painting
2020
Illustration inspired by the writings of Saint Hildegard of Bingen, a Benedictine nun who lived in 1100. Even then, she had in mind to extol the female orgasm and describe it as a natural state of women, an expression of happiness, as well as pleasure and arousal, which last shorter than those of men but are much deeper, since a woman's task is to conserve this energy to care for her children, while a man's is to "spill" his seed and is therefore in constant arousal. The vagina at the top represents the female reproductive organ, to be worshipped.
The nun, who represents the nun herself but could be a
representation of any woman, has eyes ablaze with ardor (or pleasure?) during prayer, and the rosary features a vagina instead of the traditional cross.

Deadly factory II
Digital painting made with Krita
2020
The work depicts the Milazzo refinery emerging from the darkness, in all its menacing and deadly aura. The refinery is the symbol of death, of pollution, of the interests of man that prevail over those of nature. I wanted to represent it as if it were a set of luminous crosses which, instead of bringing hope, are a beacon of death for those who live close to us and for the surrounding environment. I purposely used the spatula effects to highlight this effect.
